In 1970 I came
down with bronchial asthma. I have had three
respiratory arrests and was in and out of the hospital
four to six times a year for six years with respiratory
infections. I had at least two to three asthmatic
spasms a day and have three quarters lung capacity
left. I was on lots of different medications.
I had constant sinus headaches and drainage. I was
allergic to anything that blossomed or grew hair.
I had
rheumatoid arthritis in my hips and spine. I was so
stiff, it would take 15 minutes to get out of bed; I had
developed a limp. I was in pain 24 hours a
day. I was given many different pain medications and
aspirin. From the arthritis medications, I developed
a stomach ulcer. I was put on a bland diet of all
processed foods and nerve and stomach tranquilizers.
From that diet, I developed bleeding hemorrhoids and
colitis.
I became very
depressed. I lived in the black hole of
despair. I became very suicidal and did try to do
away with myself, but fortunately it didn't work. I
had lost all hope and my faith. I also ate myself
into a size 16. I took 14 different drugs a
day. I saw many different doctors and specialists
that told me I would have to learn to live with my
ailments. This went on for six years.
In 1976 I
started taking Shaklee Food
Supplements. In three
months I was a new person. In a year I was off all
the drugs, except one.

The asthma is
under control. I can breathe normally. I don't
have sinus headaches or allergies anymore. I don't
have arthritis or any stiffness either. I don't have
stomach ulcer or bleeding hemorrhoids or colitis. I
have no scar tissue from the hemorrhoids or the
ulcer. I lost 25 lbs. and wear a size 10.
I truly
believe the body has the ability to heal itself, if it's
given proper nutrition and enough of it. I don't get
depressed; I have hope and my faith has come back. I
can golf 18 holes, walk two miles, ride my bike, work
hard, and eat anything. I have lived a miracle and
am very grateful to God, Shaklee and Edith who introduced
me to Shaklee.
