A case study involving cannabidiol/CBD oil and a woman in her 80s found the oil helped with lung cancer regression, according to Medical News Today.
Doctors in the U.K. published an article titled “BMJ Case Reports” recently in a journal. The case study examined how an 80-something woman’s lung cancer regressed while she used CBD oil.
The woman also smoked over a pack of cigarettes a week and also has other health complications: osteoarthritis, high blood pressure, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
The woman refused radiofrequency ablation treatment and surgical removal. She began using CBD oil at a 0.5 milliliters dose. In September 2018, repeated CT showed regression of right middle lobe cancer.
While her cancer regressed, researchers noted it cant’ be confirmed CBD oil officially can shrink lung cancer tumors with the case study and more research would be needed to determine the effects the oil has on treating cancer.
